EUA - Toda criança que já quis um cachorro há de se encantar com a história de India Opal Buloni. A menina de nome engraçado é filha de um pregador batista e não tem amigos, pois os dois estão sempre se mudando. A mãe de Opal abandonou a família quando a pequena estava com 3 anos e o pai não gosta de tocar no assunto. Recem-chegada à cidade de Naomi, Opal ainda não teve oportunidade de fazer amizade com seus 2524 habitantes. Mas Winn-Dixie, o peludo cão da raça pastor Picardy, vai transformar tudo isso.

Uma senhorita anônima me escreveu sobre esse filme, perguntando sobre uma das canções da trilha sonora. Felizmente, a locadora ainda tinha uma cópia. Assisti com meu filho mais velho, que adora música e animais, sobretudo gatos e cachorros; foi a companhia perfeita. Gostamos muito e agradeço à mocinha anônima pela dica.

"Meu Melhor Amigo" foi o primeiro trabalho de AnnaSophia Robb para o cinema. Dois anos depois, a expressiva atriz-mirim interpretou Cassie Kennington no adorável "Em Busca da Felicidade". Além da protagonista, os dois filmes têm em comum uma ótima trilha sonora.
